Having grown up in southern Indiana and living a few miles from Bloomington, it was no surprise I chose Indiana University to further my education. I worked my way through college and grad school by working as many as three jobs at once to cover bills. This also afforded me to participate in Indiana University's Fencing Club. Once I completed graduate school I followed my now wife to her first job out of school to Marion Indiana where we currently reside.
I have been in the workforce for more than 15 years. I started at Kmart store through high school and most of undergraduate. During undergraduate I left Kmart to pursue better opportunities as an adjunct faculty at the university. I also taught at a local club and worked at a Scuba Diving Store on the weekends. I continued there until graduation, where I moved north and took a position as a Family Case Manager with the Department of Children's Services for a little over a year. I left that noble profession to work for a small holdings company Gebhart Holdings where I am currently still employed.
I do very well with planning and am detail oriented when it maters. I am mechanically inclined and enjoy working on projects of this nature. In most environments I will often find the most efficient way to accomplish my tasks. I work well in a team both as a leader and in a supporting role. I work well independently but understand that asking for help from others can save headache later.
